Job summary

Morgan Stanley is seeking high-performing Investment Banking Associates based in Sydney or Melbourne to join our M&A practice across Natural Resources, Technology, Media, Telco and General Industrials. • 3–6 years of investment banking experience, preferably in M&A or industry coverage with substantial transaction exposure.
• Experience executing complex M&A, strategic advisory and/or capital markets transactions.
• Advanced financial modelling, valuation and analytical skills.
• Strong understanding of accounting, corporate finance and financial statement analysis.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including client-facing materials.

• Ensure the delivery of high-quality work products within demanding timeframes.

The Role

We are interested in speaking with high performing Investment Banking Associates based in Sydney or Melbourne who are interested in opportunities within our M&A practice, across a range of industry groups including Natural Resources, Technology Media and Telco, and General Industrials.

As part of our continued investment in our Australian Investment Banking franchise, we are seeking candidates with strong transaction execution experience and a demonstrated track record of delivering high-quality client outcomes.

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work on complex and high-profile transactions, partnering closely with senior bankers, corporate clients, financial sponsors and other market participants.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute a broad range of M&A and strategic advisory transactions across Australia and the Asia Pacific region
