Job summary

A governing body for horse racing in New South Wales is looking for a candidate to maintain the integrity of the racing industry. Job description

Racing NSW is the peak body for thoroughbred horse racing throughout NSW, responsible for commercial, regulatory, and integrity leadership of the industry.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work closely with the Stipendiary Stewards to maintain the integrity and reputation of the thoroughbred racing industry.

Based in the Sydney CBD offices of Racing NSW, the successful applicant will work on a five out of seven-day roster, including weekend work on race day.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated skills in investigations, strong analytical skills, and experience in compiling briefs of evidence. Knowledge of the thoroughbred racing industry and flexibility to work varied hours are also essential.

Key Requirements:
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written communication
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Knowledge of the Rules of Racing (desirable but not essential)
  • Proven computer skills, including use of analytical tools and software
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver’s license

Persons with experience in the NSW Police Force or law enforcement agencies are encouraged to apply. The successful applicant will need to provide disclosure statements, adhere to the Racing NSW Code of Conduct, and undergo a National Police Check.
