Myer is looking for a number of Inventory Managers to join the Merchandise Planning team and support inventory performance through data-driven analysis, policy execution, and cross-functional collaboration. In this role, you will be responsible for managing stock across the product lifecycle to ensure optimal availability, efficient flow, and effective stockholding in line with customer demand and commercial targets.

About the role:
  • Manage and optimise inventory levels across channels, categories, and locations to meet availability and productivity targets
  • Execute replenishment, allocation, safety stock, and clearance strategies while mitigating risks such as overstocks and aged stock
  • Apply and uphold inventory policies, ensuring compliance with governance processes including stock checks, audits, and reconciliations
  • Track, analyse, and report on key metrics (e.g., in-stock %, stock turns, aged inventory, GMROI, forward cover) to support decision-making
  • Collaborate with Planning, Buying, Allocations, and Supply Chain teams to improve forecast accuracy and order timing
  • Partner with Distribution Centres, Stores, and Online teams to ensure smooth stock flow and strong fulfilment service levels
  • Recommend buy quantities, intake phasing, and movement strategies to optimise stock performance
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying process efficiencies, supporting system enhancements, and contributing to key projects
About you:
  • 3–5 years of experience in merchandise planning, demand planning, supply planning or business analytics
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to translate data into insights
  • Experience working cross-functionally and coordinating inputs across departments
  • Proficient in Excel and planning tools (e.g., Anaplan, SAP IBP, Oracle, JDA)
  • Exposure to S&OP or IBP processes and planning cycles
  • Proven ability to balance strategic thinking with detail execution and operational alignment
  • High proficiency in Excel, financial models, and planning tools (e.g., Anaplan, SAP IBP, Oracle) Good project management skills - proven experience in leading projects with a record of successful implementation
  • Bachelor degree/diploma in one of the following fields would be preferable but not essential: Commerce, Marketing, Retail Management, Business Management, Economics , Commerce, Merchandise Management
