Job summary

Cogent Resources is seeking an experienced Inventory Controller to join our client's warehouse team in Sydney. You will manage daily inventory control, conduct cycle counts, investigate stock discrepancies and support stock movements with RF scanners and a WMS.

The role requires a current LF Forklift Licence, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while liaising across Operations, Receiving and Despatch teams.

Qualifications

• LF Forklift Licence – essential.
• Experience in inventory control and stock management.
• Experience conducting cycle counts and stocktakes.
• Proven ability to investigate stock discrepancies and resolve inventory issues.
• Experience using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Knowledge of putaway, replenishment and warehouse location management.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work independently and prioritise tasks with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with various warehouse teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily inventory control and stock management activities.
• Conduct cycle counts and assist with regular stocktakes.
• Investigate stock discrepancies and identify the root causes of inventory variances.
• Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) to maintain accurate stock records.
• Perform putaway, replenishment and stock location management.
• Maintain pallet control and ensure inventory processes are followed.
• Operate a forklift safely to move, store and replenish stock as required.
• Update inventory records and ensure stock movements are recorded accurately.
• Liaise with Operations, Receiving and Despatch teams to resolve inventory issues.
• Support daily warehouse activities to maintain operational efficiency.
