This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, solving practical problems and making a tangible difference to the environment. The role will involve on-ground control of invasive pest animals across the Bass Coast region and beyond, on both public and private land.
BCLN is a community-focused natural resource management organisation working across the Bass Coast region. We deliver programs spanning natural resource management, sustainability, environmental education, community engagement, ecosystem restoration, pest animal control, indigenous plant production and strategic partnerships.
Our Invasive Species team works closely with landholders, community groups, government agencies and other organisations to deliver practical, landscape-scale pest animal management that protects biodiversity, agricultural assets and environmental values.
Working under the direction of the Invasive Species Coordinator and Invasive Species Officer, you will undertake and assist with on-ground control programs targeting rabbits, foxes, feral cats and other invasive species.
The successful applicant will be comfortable working independently in the field while contributing positively to a collaborative and supportive team environment.
This is a hands-on role requiring a willingness to work in remote areas and undertake fieldwork at various times, including early mornings, late nights and weekends when required.
We are looking for someone with practical field experience and a genuine interest in invasive species management.
