Job summary

Sawtell & Sons Pty Limited, a Gold Coast based, family owned and operated bulk haulage company with over 90 years in the road transport industry, is seeking professional, experienced and enthusiastic truck & dog and B Double drivers to join our team. Our fleet services QLD, NSW and Victoria and depots are located around Brisbane/Gold Coast.

Operate a truck & dog or B Double across Queensland, New South Wales & Victoria on long-haul schedules, often away for 7–10 days.

Qualifications

• HC licence (truck & dog experience essential) or MC licence (experience preferred).
• Tipper experience an advantage.
• Solid understanding of fatigue, mass management (including axle weights), safety and HVNL/state road regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate a truck & dog or B Double throughout Queensland, New South Wales & Victoria.
• Long haul work with away periods of 7–10 days at a time.

Sawtell & Sons Pty Limited is a Gold Coast based, family owned & operated bulk haulage company with over 90 years experience in the road transport industry. We are seeking professional, experienced and enthusiastic truck & dog and B Double drivers to join our team. Our fleet consists of late model automatic Volvo trucks servicing all areas of QLD, NSW and Victoria.

Ideally applicants would be based around the Brisbane/Gold Coast area (we have depots at Stapylton & Currumbin) but applicants based in other areas can also apply. We encourage both male and female applicants.

The Role:

Operating a truck & dog or B Double throughout Queensland, New South Wales & Victoria

Long haul work (away for up to 7-10 days at a time)

Attractive remuneration- km rate + above award unloading/loading allowance- approx. $130-160k/annum

Applicants should have:

HC licence (truck & dog experience essential) or MC licence (experience preferred)

Tipper experience an advantage

BFM an advantage

Solid understanding of all fatigue, mass management (including axle weights), safety and all HVNL and state road regulation requirements

Good driving history
