Job summary

Coregas's Blacksmith Jacks division in Mackay seeks a self-motivated Internal Sales team member. You will provide outstanding service, handle inquiries, merchandise the showroom, and manage stock while keeping safety top of mind.

You will work in a fast-paced, team-based environment with opportunities to develop, meet sales targets, and enjoy competitive salary plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Retail, sales or customer service experience, ideally in trades/industrial.
• Passion for excellent service and achieving sales targets.

• Accurate stock counts and high attention to detail.
• Good computer skills and experience with POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service, maximise sales opportunities.
• Greet customers and handle inquiries via phone and email.
• Merchandise showroom and restock shelves.
• Undertake stocktakes with high accuracy.
• Identify slow-moving stock and monitor back-orders.
• Maintain a safe, clean showroom at all times.
• Perform administrative tasks as required.

As a division of Coregas, Blacksmith Jacks is a specialist in the industrial gas and welding industry. We also stock and supply a large range of hand tools, power tools, generators, PPE, welding consumables and more.

At Blacksmith Jacks, we help our customers achieve amazing things by delivering products, expertise and personal service second to none.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, we're looking for a self-motivated and safety-focused team player to join the team in an Internal Sales role and help us achieve our goals.

What you will be doing

• Providing exceptional service to our customers, ensuring high customer satisfaction levels and maximising sales opportunities.
• Greeting customers and attending to phone and email enquiries in a professional and timely manner
• Merchandising the showroom to a high standard and restocking shelves
• Undertaking stocktakes, ensuring a high level of accuracy
• Identifying stock or products that are slow moving
• Monitoring and actioning back-order reports daily
• Maintaining a safe, clean and tidy showroom at all times
• Administration tasks as required.

What we need from you

• Demonstrated experienced in a retail, sales or customer service environment, ideally from a trades/industrial background.
• A passion for providing excellent customer service and achieving sales targets
• Demonstrated ability of working safely, being accountable, acting ethically, and treating everyone with respect
• A flexible can-do attitude and ability to adapt
• Demonstrated ability to work well both in a team environment and independently
• Ability to undertake accurate stock counts and maintain high attention to detail
• Good computer skills and experience using POS systems.
• Willing and able to work in a fast-paced environment, where you will be on your feet most of the day.

A background or interested in the industrial and/or welding industry is highly desirable. A driver's license and forklift license would also be beneficial.
