Every day, our people look for better ways to innovate, improve and deliver strong long-term outcomes. They’re curious, collaborative and constantly challenging convention to pioneer new ideas.

This passion and expertise creates an employee experience that puts wellbeing, development and opportunity first.

The role

We are seeking an Internal Communications Specialist to execute our internal communications efforts. Reporting to the Head of Internal Communications, this part time role plays an integral part in identifying and amplifying business outcomes across the Group and reimagining how internal communications works at GPT, including identifying where AI can genuinely improve how we plan, create and deliver content, not just proficiently using existing tools.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive internal communications plans and tactics, supporting the creation, editing and coordination of high quality engaging communications including written, verbal and video content, for delivery across our channels. This role suits a corporate communications 'all-rounder' with a can-do attitude, someone highly organised and comfortable managing several recurring deadlines in a compact working week.

What you will be doing
  • Developing communication strategies : developing and executing internal communication strategies, plans and campaigns.
  • Trialling AI tools and workflows : partnering with the Head of Internal Communications to trial and embed AI tools and workflows that improve the speed, quality or reach of internal content.
  • Supporting sector marketing teams : acting as the primary point of contact for sector marketing teams, managing day-to-day queries and requests, while building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and leaders and providing advice and support on their communications needs.
  • Creating high-quality content : creating and delivering high-quality written and digital content, including video, graphics and branding collateral, across all internal channels.
  • Supporting employee events : supporting the delivery of employee events.
  • Driving the communications calendar : driving the communications calendar to ensure coordinated, timely delivery across priorities and initiatives.
What makes you stand out

You bring relevant experience and qualifications in internal communications, employee engagement or a related discipline, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to craft compelling narratives tailored to diverse audiences. You have a proven track record of developing and implementing successful communication strategies and campaigns, backed by strong strategic thinking and planning abilities.

You are a confident and curious user of AI tools in a communications context, from content drafting through to editing and ideation, with a genuine interest in exploring new applications rather than relying on what's familiar. You bring strong organisation and project management skills, comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering results on time and within budget, with proficiency across communication and digital tools and platforms including intranet systems, email marketing software, SharePoint, Canva and social collaboration tools.

You build excellent relationships across a broad range of business stakeholders, bringing a proactive and collaborative approach while equally comfortable working autonomously. Above all, you bring an energetic and creative approach to your work and a proven ability to learn quickly.

What makes us stand out

  • Embrace diverse and challenging career opportunities, supported by our dedicated Learning & Development Team committed to your growth.
  • Engage in comprehensive Wellbeing programs and benefit from market-leading policies and support tailored to diverse needs.
  • Be recognised by peers through nomination awards and take part in our generous Employee Referral Program.
