Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking an Internal Auditor to support governance, risk management, and internal controls across its nationwide operations. This permanent full-time role is based in Blackburn, Melbourne, reporting to the Executive Manager Internal Audit.

You will plan and execute audits, prepare high-quality reports, and monitor management action plans while collaborating with stakeholders to strengthen controls and assurance across the organisation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of internal audit experience (external audit experience considered)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Proven stakeholder management with excellent communication and report writing abilities
• Excellent time management and ability to handle multiple priorities

Responsibilities

• End-to-end delivery of internal audit reviews across the organisation
• Develop risk-based test plans and work programs, fieldwork, reporting and follow-up
• Prepare concise audit reports with documented findings and recommendations
• Review action plans submitted by management and monitor progress
• Engage with stakeholders to ensure understanding and support for audits

This is a permanent, full-time, position based in Blackburn, Melbourne.Purpose of the Role:Reporting to the Executive Manager Internal Audit, you will play a key role in delivering the annual internal audit plan by conducting a diverse range of audit reviews across all Salvation Army operations nationwide.
