Job summary

Coles Group in Melbourne is seeking an Internal Audit Manager - Technology to lead assurance across technology, data, digital, AI and emerging risks critical to Coles’ strategy. You’ll work on complex technology-enabled programs, delivering independent insights to strengthen governance, risk and controls.

You’ll bring significant experience in Internal Audit or technology risk, with leadership capabilities and broad knowledge across governance, cloud, cyber security, resilience and emerging

Qualifications

• Broad experience across technology governance, data, digital, cloud, cyber security, resilience or emerging technology.
• Professional certifications are highly regarded.

About the role

As the Internal Audit Manager - Technology, you’ll lead assurance across technology, data, digital, AI and emerging risks that are critical to Coles’ strategy and transformation agenda. You’ll work across complex technology-enabled programs, providing independent, forward-looking insights that help our leaders make informed decisions and strengthen governance, risk and controls. You will also:

• Lead complex technology audits and assurance reviews across transformation programs and emerging risks.
• Shape risk-based assurance priorities as technology, business needs and delivery plans evolve.
• Translate complex technology risks into clear, commercially relevant insights for senior leaders.
• Balance multiple priorities, adapting the scope and timing of assurance as risks and circumstances change.
• Lead and coach internal team members, co-source partners and specialists to deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Collaborate across Technology, business and assurance teams to strengthen governance, risk and control.

About you and your skills

You’re an experienced technology assurance or risk professional who is comfortable working at pace, making sound judgements with incomplete information and bringing clarity to complex or ambiguous situations. You combine curiosity and agility with strong collaboration, influencing and coaching skills, helping people work together while keeping attention on the risks and outcomes that matter most. You will have:

• Significant experience in Internal Audit, Technology Risk or assurance, including leading complex technology reviews.
• Broad experience across areas such as technology governance, data, digital, cloud, cyber security, resilience or emerging technology.
• A relevant tertiary qualification, with professional certifications such as CISA, CIA, CA, CPA or CRISC highly regarded.
• Strong leadership and coaching capability, with experience guiding internal, co-source or specialist teams through complex work.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, adapt quickly and exercise judgement in changing or ambiguous environments.
