Equinix in Sydney offers an internship in Data Center Critical Facility Operations. You will shadow Facility Engineers, work on real projects, and gain hands-on experience in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics within a global digital infrastructure leader.

This paid internship is open to Sydney-based university students who can attend in person from December 2026, with flexible scheduling for full-time during breaks and part-time during academic periods.

Qualificações

• Open to final-year students or 2026 graduates, serious about opportunities in digital infrastructure.
• Must be able to attend in person from December 2026 for the internship period.

• Work on projects assigned within Mission Critical facilities teams.
• Participate in an immersive engineering internship with hands-on learning.

Opportunity: Internship in Data Center Critical Facility Operations (Sydney Positions)

We are excited to be able to offer opportunities within our Mission Critical facilities teams across Sydney. We are looking for bright and enthusiastic university students that have a keen interest in Engineering, specifically Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics.

In this program you will have the opportunity to work in one of the largest data centers in Australia plus be assigned projects to work on whilst shadowing the Facility Engineers when attending to maintenance and walk throughs in the data center.

What skills and experiences do you need

This is a paid internship where we are looking students located in Sydney who are able to attend the internship in person. The ideal candidate should be ready to start the internship on the month of December 2026. We can offer flexible internship schedule with a combined option of full-time during breaks and part-time during academic period. and we are looking for great communicators that are after a long term career is a global growing tech leader.

Program eligibility

• Studying an Engineering degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics.
• Prior experience in Electrical generation/distribution, Cooling systems or Industrial automationrelated school project or work exposure will have advantage
• Be available from December 26 - April 27 inclusive
• Our Program is open to university students who are in their final year or recent graduates from 2026 cohort who are serious in exploring job opportunities in Digital Infrastructure.
• As our intention is to offer you a permanent role once you graduate you must be able to clear Government Baseline clearance requirements
