Overview

Our client is an award-winning tax accounting firm undergoing an exciting period of growth. Due to the expansion of the firm's portfolio, two new positions have become available, offering a wonderful opportunity for experienced tax accountants to work with a diverse portfolio, including large multinational clients. The firm offers financial and tax advice, self-managed super funds, audits, registered company audits, insolvency services, business restructuring, ATO negotiations, private rulings, and financial planning.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Review the work of the intermediate and junior accountants, offer tax advice to clients, and conduct client meetings with the manager.
• Perform Division 7A, CGT, and grouping provisions in relation to payroll tax.
• Research and submit private rulings for clients, including objections.
• Work with large and medium-sized clients, including companies, trusts, overseas trusts, and groups.

Key Qualifications and Skills

• A degree in accounting from an Australian institution
• Completed or working towards a CA/CPA qualification.
• At least 2+ years of experience in an Australian accounting firm.
• Experience using Xero and BGL (preferred)
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting and taxation fundamentals
