McAuley & Co in Toowoomba is seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join our Tax & Business Advisory team. You’ll work with clients across accounting, taxation and advisory, moving beyond compliance to build relationships and take greater ownership of work.

We offer flexible working arrangements, direct client exposure, and a clear pathway toward Senior Accountant roles as you develop. CA/CPA qualification pursuit is supported, with opportunities to grow as the firm expands.

Qualificações

• 2+ years of Australian public practice experience.
• Solid understanding of Australian taxation and compliance.
• Experience with Xero and cloud-based accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Confidence communicating with clients.

Responsabilidades

• Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals.
• Preparing BAS, IAS and other compliance work.
• Assisting with tax planning and year-end strategies.
• Working directly with clients and responding to accounting and taxation queries.
• Liaising with the ATO and other government agencies.
• Managing your workflow and client deadlines.
• Working on more complex taxation and advisory matters as your experience develops.
• Identifying issues and opportunities to add value for clients.
