Minchin Recruitment Pty is seeking an Intermediate Accountant in our Gold Coast office. The role combines hands-on accounting and tax work with client contact and advisory support. A nine-day fortnight, CA/CPA study support, and mentoring from experienced colleagues are provided.

You’ll work with senior accountants to prepare financial statements, tax returns, BAS/IAS, and engage in planning and advisory tasks, with opportunities to progress toward Senior Accountant.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of Australian public practice accounting experience.
• Degree in Accounting, Commerce or related discipline.
• CA or CPA studies commenced, or intention to commence.
• Sound foundations in accounting and Australian taxation.
• Strong attention to detail and organised deadlines.
• Clear communication with clients and team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, income tax returns and supporting workpapers.
• Complete reconciliations and assist with BAS and IAS.
• Assist with FBT and capital gains tax calculations.
• Support tax planning and business advisory work.
• Communicate with clients to gather information and resolve queries.
• Manage allocated tasks, deadlines and progress updates.
• Use cloud-based systems to deliver accurate, timely work.

The Role
