Job summary

Gray Puksand, a leading Australian architecture and integrated design practice, seeks an Interior Design Graduate/Junior with 1–2 years of industry exposure to join our Sydney Studio.

You will work across Workspace, Commercial, Education, and Health & Science sectors, mentored by senior colleagues while developing skills in Revit, Enscape, InDesign, Photoshop, SketchUp, and VR. Expect collaborative teamwork and a path to growth in a dynamic studio.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture.
  • Minimum 1 year in commercial interior design practice preferred.
  • Proven experience using Revit on projects.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to all project phases: concept design, space planning, design development, documentation to on-site construction management and contract administration
  • Contribute to client briefings, workshops, design and design development
  • Create designs and documentations in Revit
  • Prepare presentations and communicate designs in multiple forms; Revit, Enscape, Indesign, Photoshop, Sketchup, VR
  • Work cohesively in a small and larger team

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Interior Design Graduate / Junior Interior Designer with some level of industry experience (ideally 1-2 years) to join our thriving Sydney Studio.

This is a fantastic opportunity to kick start and consolidate your career. You will gain exposure to an exciting range of projects across a diverse variety of sectors including Workspace, Commercial, Education, and Health and Science.

There will be plenty of opportunities to learn and grow in this role, with wonderful mentors who are at the cutting edge of the design industry.

Our interior design team work on projects individually and as a team, managing a project from end to end across multiple sectors so there is the opportunity to hone your skills across various typologies. Vital to our success is our ability to communicate designs and ideas through all mediums including Revit and Enscape, InDesign, Photoshop, Sketchup and more progressive design technology including VR.

General Duties

About You

To Be Successful In This Role You Will Need
  • A Bachelor Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture, or other relevant qualificstion
  • Ideally a minimum of 1 years' experience in commercial interior design practice
  • Proven experience using Revit on projects
  • Strong presentation and rendering skills; Sketch-up, Indesign, Photoshop, Enscape, Rhino, Office Suite will be highly regarded
  • An eye for detail and design
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to proactively communicate with team members, consultants and clients
  • Demonstrated proactive and collaborative approach to projects
  • Personal pride and accountability in your work
  • The capacity to work as part of a team with the ability to work autonomously
  • Ability to work on more than one project as required
