Job summary

Offshore Virtual Assistants is looking for an experienced Senior Interior Design Draftsperson & Project Coordinator to support high-end residential interior design projects from a remote, part-time basis.

The role focuses on technical drafting, SketchUp modelling, documentation, and coordinating project activities while the Principal Designer concentrates on client relationships and growth. Schedule: Mon & Fri across AEST, 9 AM-2 PM or 12-5 PM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of interior design or drafting experience.
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• High attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Produce SketchUp models from measured plans and drawings.
• Prepare base plans, elevations, furniture layouts and joinery details.
• Maintain drawing sets using SketchUp Layout.
• Assist with V-Ray rendering and presentation imagery.
• Maintain documentation and file structures in OneDrive.
• Track project schedules and deadlines.
• Coordinate meetings with builders, consultants and suppliers.
• Prepare scopes, FF&E and project schedules.
• Organize project proposals and documentation.
• Prepare Canva/SketchUp Layout boards.

Offshore Virtual Assistants is looking for an experienced Senior Interior Design Draftsperson & Project Coordinator to support one of our valued clients in delivering high-end residential interior design projects.

About the Role:

This role focuses primarily on technical drafting, SketchUp modelling, documentation, and project coordination, while supporting the Principal Designer to concentrate on client relationships, creative direction, and business growth.

Location: Work-from-Home (Independent Contractor)

Role Type: Part -time to start, 10 hours per week, Monday & Friday across AEST

Schedule: Monday & Friday | 9 AM-2 PM or 12-5 PM AEST/AEDT

Key Responsibilities

• Produce SketchUp models from measured plans and architectural drawings.
• Prepare base plans and elevations, furniture layouts, joinery details, wet area layouts, lighting and electrical plans.
• Maintain and revise drawing sets using SketchUp Layout.
• Assist with V-Ray rendering and presentation imagery where appropriate.
• Maintain documentation, revisions, file structures and naming conventions in OneDrive.
• Track project schedules, milestones and deadlines.
• Coordinate meetings and support communications with builders, consultants and suppliers.
• Prepare Scope of Works, FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) and project schedules
• Request quotations, follow up on samples and assist with procurement administration.
• Prepare proposals, organise project documentation and maintain project records.
• Prepare presentation boards using Canva and SketchUp Layout.

Experience

• Bachelor of Science in Interior Design, Architecture, or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Interior Design or Interior Drafting.
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings.
• Experience with joinery detailing and bathroom documentation.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• High attention to detail.
