A leading accounting and advisory firm in Sydney is looking for an experienced finance professional to optimize working capital operations across their portfolio. You will unlock cash flow and conduct forensic investigations to redesign financial processes. The ideal candidate has proven forensic accounting experience in multi-entity environments and strong stakeholder management skills. This is a 3-6 month contract position starting immediately.

About Our Client

Our client is an established integrated accounting and advisory group with locations nationwide and recent significant capital investment. They\'re going through a transformation journey to enhance operational efficiencies whilst maintaining focus on supporting entrepreneurial business owners. Following substantial growth through acquisitions, they require an experienced finance professional to optimise working capital operations across their portfolio on a 3-6 month contract.

The Role

The main focus of this role is to unlock working capital across our client’s partner networks and conduct a comprehensive cash position analysis. You will conduct forensic investigations using your advanced accounting expertise to evaluate current practices and following your discovery will redesign processes to achieve consolidated, strategic working capital and cashflow management across all entities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose discrepancies between reported revenues and actual cash collections across acquired practices
  • Implement discipline and structure in financial reporting and billing processes to accelerate cash conversion
  • Identify blockades preventing cash flow through and develop solutions to unlock trapped capital and optimise working capital
  • Collaborate and work with multiple stakeholders to diagnose and investigate current issues and implement solutions
What You\'ll Bring

To be successful in this role you must have proven experience as a financial controller or forensic accountant in multi-entity organisations or industries. You must have the ability to work across multiple sites, with diverse stakeholders.

  • Advanced financial analysis - Strong cash flow modelling and working capital optimisation expertise to unlock value across multiple entities
  • Forensic accounting skills - Ability to conduct detailed investigations and evaluate complex financial processes with technical precision.
  • Business process improvement - Experience identifying and mapping operational processes to improve efficiency
  • Senior stakeholder management - Proven ability to collaborate with business owners and executive teams

This is a 3 – 6 month contract position, to start immediately. To be eligible, you must be available immediately or on short notice and have full Australian work rights, without restrictions for the duration of the contract.
