Job summary

Derwent Search Pty, on behalf of our private equity-backed client, seeks an Interim Head of Technology for a 6-month engagement in Sydney. You will own the IT roadmap and budget, overseeing enterprise systems, data and reporting, cybersecurity, and managed services to support growth and readiness for divestment of systems.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience as Head of Technology or CTO in SMB.
• Experience optimizing platforms and selecting/new systems.
• Hands-on NetSuite administration and integrations.
• Experience with data platforms and reporting (Power BI, Snowflake, Azure Data Factory).
• Strong budget, contract management, and MSP/vendor oversight.
• Cybersecurity knowledge and AI governance exposure.
• Excellent executive communication.

Responsibilities

• Own the IT roadmap and budget and report progress to the executive team.
• Scope and deliver technology projects from business case to implementation.
• Manage NetSuite environment including administration, customization, and integrations.
• Maintain the data warehouse and Power BI reporting; analytics across divisions.
• Manage MSP relationship and transition to in-house IT support.
• Lead cybersecurity program including pen testing, SSO, controls, remediation.
• Lead AI governance and deliver AI roadmap across the business.
