Barry Nilsson lawyers in Sydney, NSW, is seeking an Insurance Solicitor/Associate (Professional Indemnity) to join our national Insurance & Health team. You will work on coverage and defence matters across professional indemnity and related lines, collaborating with senior partners to deliver outcomes.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in defendant insurance, a proven ability to manage files, and a knack for building strong client relationships with a collaborative approach.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in the defendant insurance space with a focus on public liability or professional indemnity.
• Ability to efficiently manage your own file load.
• Strong client relationships and collaborative problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage and defence counsel services across professional indemnity, transaction liability, financial lines, and directors' and officers' liability.
• Collaborate with a team of specialists led by partners Carmen Elder, James Berg and James Morse.
• Develop and maintain client relationships to achieve excellent outcomes.

About the Role

An engaging opportunity awaits you as a Solicitor or Associate in ourinsurance team in Sydney. We have rewarding work on offer as coverage anddefence counsel across a number of complex lines of business includingprofessional indemnity, transaction liability (including warranty &indemnity), financial lines, director and officer liability and statutoryliability. You'll collaborate with a team of specialists in their field headedup by Carmen Elder, James Berg and James Morse– principals who arecommitted to empowering you and your career progression.

About You
