Job summary

SPW Legal Recruitment is assisting a national law firm in Brisbane to recruit an Associate or Senior Associate for its General Liability team. You will act for major insurers on defendant liability matters, including personal injury, complex liability and indemnity advice, with substantial autonomy and client exposure.

You will develop direct insurer relationships and participate in settlement conferences, mediations and court proceedings while mentoring junior lawyers and helping the practice

Qualifications

• At least 3 years' PAE in defendant insurance litigation.
• Experience across general liability and personal injury claims.
• Ability to manage matters autonomously and provide practical, commercially focused advice.
• Strong communication and client relationship skills.
• Senior Associate level: interest in mentoring junior lawyers and growing the practice.

Responsibilities

• Act for major insurers across defendant liability matters.
• Manage your own matters with autonomy and direct insurer client relationships.
• Participate in settlement conferences, mediations and court proceedings.
• Contribute to the development of the Brisbane practice.
