Job summary

Avant Mutual Group is seeking an Insurance Financial Adviser to join its Sydney-based Avant Life Financial Planning team. You will provide specialised personal financial advice focused on life insurance and personal risk protection, inside and outside superannuation.

You will build trusted client relationships with Avant members, medical professionals and their families, delivering tailored, compliant advice and helping protect their businesses and loved ones.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience providing personal advice on retail life insurance products.
• Strong knowledge of life insurance and personal risk protection.
• Proven ability to build trusted client relationships and provide compliant advice.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal advice across Life, TPD, Trauma and Income Protection insurance.
• Advise on insurance strategies including key person, business overheads and buy/sell arrangements.
• Build and maintain relationships with Avant members and medical professionals.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver a seamless client experience.
• Conduct research and prepare high-quality, compliant advice.
• Maintain strong compliance and regulatory standards; use XPLAN and Commpay for workflows and premiums.

Insurance Financial Adviser

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Insurance Financial Adviser to join Avant Life’s Financial Planning team in Sydney.

You’ll provide specialised personal financial advice to Avant members, medical professionals and their families, with a focus on life insurance and personal risk protection, both inside and outside superannuation.

You’ll build trusted client relationships and provide tailored, compliant advice that helps medical professionals protect themselves, their families and their businesses.

What you'll be doing

• Providing personal advice across Life, TPD, Trauma and Income Protection insurance
• Advising on insurance strategies including key person, business overheads and buy/sell arrangements
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with Avant members and medical professionals
• Working closely with internal stakeholders to deliver a seamless client experienceConducting research and preparing high-quality, compliant advice
• Maintaining strong compliance and regulatory standards
• Using XPLAN for advice and workflow management and Commpay for premiums
• Working with dedicated advice support officers so you can focus on client relationships and financial advice

About you

You’ll be an ethical and experienced financial adviser with a strong track record in personal life insurance advice and excellent interpersonal skills.

You’ll bring:

• An approved Bachelor’s degree (AQF7) or above, or an alternative pathway recognised under current legislation
• Current or eligible ASIC registration as a Relevant Provider, including meeting Fit and Proper requirements
• Demonstrated experience providing personal advice on retail life insurance products
• Deep knowledge of the Australian life insurance sector, including Life, TPD, Trauma, Income Protection and superannuation
• Experience using life insurance strategies within business structures
• Demonstrated experience using XPLAN, including workflow management, and Commpay
