Job summary

WNS (Holdings) Limited in Australia is seeking a Claims Handler to lodge insurance claims, determine coverage and manage communications with customers and intermediaries. You will drive efficient claim resolution, control costs and uphold policy interpretations.

The role requires 1–2 years in general insurance, strong customer service skills and the ability to work across multiple systems in a fast-paced environment. A flexible shift pattern and remote work options may be discussed.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Finance or Commerce.
• 1–2 years in general insurance preferred.
• Call centre experience preferred.
• Experience in a customer service environment.
• Strong computer literacy; able to navigate multiple systems.
• Able to meet targets in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lodge new insurance claims for customers and intermediaries.
• Determine coverage through questioning, policy interpretation and analysis.
• Elevate customer experience by setting clear expectations of claim process.
• Negotiate and obtain collection of customer excess with education of payment options.
• Responsible for financial outcomes by applying policy limits and using preferred suppliers.
• Respond to and manage inquiries from customers, suppliers, repairers and third parties while controlling costs.
• Ensure information provided to customers is clear, accurate and aligned with claim policies.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and contribute to efficiency and cost effectiveness of the claims function.
• Make decisions within policy guidelines and delegations to deliver best outcomes.
• Demonstrate professional workplace behaviour and assist team members.
• Participate in performance reviews and pursue personal development.
