Job summary

Stanwell's Tarong Power Stations in Queensland is seeking a motivated Instrumentation and Control Technician to join the Electrical and I&C Maintenance Team. You will perform fault finding, calibration and routine maintenance on process instrumentation while supporting safety and reliability goals.

Dependent on your qualifications, this role can be offered as Level 1–3 Technician with opportunities for mentoring apprentices and contributing to efficiency improvements.

Qualifications

• QLD Electrical Licence and Electrical Trade Certification required.
• Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control.
• Experience in a heavy industry environment.
• Willingness to participate in weekend call out roster for after-hours response.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of process instrumentation.
• Carry out complex fault finding and implement innovative solutions.
• Provide technical assistance to Electrical and Mechanical Teams and mentor Electrical/IC Apprentices.
• Monitor and evaluate plant performance to advise opportunities for improvement in availability, reliability and cost effectiveness.
• Complete assigned technical work in a safe and timely manner.
