Job summary

Tallangatta Secondary College in Victoria is seeking an Instrumental Music Instructor to deliver instrumental music, keyboard and voice lessons to students both individually and in groups. You will contribute to the Performing Arts program and support school events in the Towong area.

The role requires strong written and verbal communication with parents and staff, a commitment to professional learning, and the ability to engage a diverse student community in a supportive, inclusive learning

Qualifications

• Demonstrated qualifications, experience and skills in an Instrumental Music Program.
• High level written and verbal communication skills and high level interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of various styles of music relevant to the instrument.
• Ability to contribute to a broad range of school activities including performances and concerts.
• Commitment to professional learning and growth for self and others.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instrumental music, keyboard and voice lessons on an individual and group basis
• Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of the Performing Arts Program
• Communicate with parents on student progress
• Keep accurate attendance records for all students
• Assist with College performances, assemblies and concerts
