Job summary

Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) invites applications for a Part Time Sterilising Department role in Wangaratta, VIC. The position is ongoing with 32 hours per fortnight and operates across seven days, including public holidays.

You will join our Sterilising Department to inspect, decontaminate, package and sterilise reusable medical devices and equipment for the operating theatre and other NHW services. This role offers a supportive team environment and opportunities to develop skills in

Qualifications

• Inspect, decontaminate, package and sterilise reusable medical devices.
• Follow AS 5369:2023 sterilisation standards.
• Operate in a 7-days-a-week service including public holidays.

• Inspect, decontaminate, package and sterilise reusable medical devices for the operating theatre and other NHW services.
• Prepare sterilised equipment for use in operating theatres and other areas.
• Maintain hygiene compliance and infection control procedures.

Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is the major health provider in the Central Hume region with an extensive range of acute, sub-acute, aged care and community services.

NHW have an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work in our Sterilising Department. In this role you will take responsibility for the inspection, decontamination, packaging and sterilisation of reusable medical devices and equipment for the operating theatre and other customers of Northeast Health Wangaratta in accordance with AS 5369:2023. This service operates 7 days a week, including public holidays.
