Job summary

Northeast Health Wangaratta is seeking an Operating Theatre Technician to join our theatre team on a part-time ongoing contract. The role supports safe, efficient patient care in the operating theatre and requires good communication, organisation and weekend shift availability.

Experience and certification in this area are an advantage, and the successful candidate will work within a collaborative team committed to high standards of patient care in the Northeast region.

Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is the major health provider in the Central Hume region with an extensive range of acute, sub-acute, aged care and community services.

We are seeking applications from suitably qualified and interested people that would like to develop their career within the operating theatre.

An operating theatre technician is an integral part of the theatre team and is responsible in partnership for the safe, efficient and competent care of clients undergoing surgery and recovery.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate sound communication, interpersonal and organizational skills and be able to work shift work including weekends. Previous experience and certification in this area would be an advantage.
