About the role:

The Western Health Central Sterilisation and Supply Departments (CSSD) at Sunshine/JKWC has a temporary position available for a suitably experienced Instrument Technician.

This is a part-time parental leave vacancy which is available on a fixed term basis, commencing December 2026 for 12 months.

The CSSD strives to support and provide a high standard of sterilisation services to the Operating Suite, Birthing, out patients and wards . The successful candidate will be required to a work a rotating roster and be prepared to work in CSSD on the other WH campuses.

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing of reusable medical devices in accordance with national standards and hospital policies.
  • Understand and apply the principles of sterilization, disinfection and tracking in the CSSD environment.
  • Navigate the tracking system (Scancare) to support daily work requirement.
  • Meet the requirements of the role as outlined in the position description.

Aboutyou:
