Job description

Instructor - Delivery and Assessment (BBBH6496) Darwin, Australia

ALG is seeking an Instructor–Deliveryand Assessment to join our client's team at Darwin Airport. This is an ongoing casual contract with full-time hours and potential for a permanent role based on performance.

The Instructor – Delivery and Assessment is responsible for effectively teaching assigned subjects within the company training scope, including RTO and Part 147 maintenance training, as well as relevant standalone courses.

The role also involves conducting assessments in line with the company’s policies, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and high-quality outcomes.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Teach theory and practical lessons within your scope.
  • Review and improve curriculum, teaching methods, and assessments.
  • Conduct exams and evaluate student work.
  • Provide student support and guidance.
  • Develop teaching materials and practical activities.
  • Stay updated on aerospace industry advancements.
  • Continuously assess and improve teaching performance.
  • Conduct on-site and off-site student assessments as required.
  • Coordinate apprentice competency assessment visits and schedules.
  • Stay updated on Australian Aeroskills training, CASA Part 66, and EASA Part 66 regulations.
  • Support staff in maintaining compliance with ASQA, NAA, OH&S, and the company policies.
  • Stay informed about relevant Commonwealth and State/Territory legislation.
  • Travel domestically and internationally when needed.
  • Contribute to evaluation, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Follow Aviation Australia’s Code of Conduct, safety regulations, and policies.
  • Experience in fostering a safe and inclusive workplace, free from discrimination, bullying, and harassment.
  • Knowledge of ASQA standards and ensuring compliance.
  • Understanding of relevant aviation training legislation.
  • Ability to interpret and apply laws, regulations, and policies, ideally in a medium to large organization.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with a professional demeanor.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with keen attention to detail.
