The project will modernise more than 750 sites nationally and runs from January 2027 to January 2030. The Tasmanian team is based in Hobart's northern suburbs and covers close to 50 sites across the state, including urban, regional and remote or offshore locations. Your new role: As an Installation Technician, you'll be part of a field rollout team, supported by experienced senior technicians. You'll travel to sites across Tasmania to remove old equipment and install, set up and test new weather stations. • Fault finding and fixing defects after installation
  • Working with sensors, enclosures, power systems, batteries, solar and telemetry equipment
  • Recording installation and asset data and completing reports
  • Helping with planning, logistics and staging of equipment
  • Liaising with landholders, contractors and local stakeholders to arrange site access
  • Working safely and following all WHS policies and procedures
Mandatory
  • A Certificate III (or higher) in Electrical or Electronics, a comparable qualification, or relevant experience and training

  • Eligibility to obtain an ASIC and/or MSIC (airport and maritime security cards)
