Job summary

Contour Education in New South Wales is launching as a leading tutoring provider and is seeking founding Year 7-10 Science Tutors to deliver exceptional classroom experiences. You will teach in a student-first environment using Contour’s in-class materials and resources to engage and motivate learners.

You’ll lead engaging, mentor-like sessions, with a focus on discussion, diagrams, and videos, while avoiding admin tasks.

Qualifications

• 95+ ATAR and Band 6 in two HSC Science subjects.
• Strong ability to explain concepts and engage students.
• Willingness to work evenings/weekends around uni timetable.

Responsibilities

• Teach 2-hour small-group class each week in a defined classroom setting.
• Lead classes with discussion, exploration, diagrams, and videos to keep every student involved.
• Mentor students as a caring guide they can look up to.
• Support students by addressing misconceptions and providing individual help.
• Prepare students for topic tests and school assessments with proven strategies.
