Job summary

St Catherine's Catholic College Singleton is seeking a temporary fulltime Secondary HSIE/Legal Studies Teacher to join from January 2027 for 12 months. The role requires commitment to Catholic education and delivery of a compliant, differentiated program for students from Kindergarten to Year 12.

Salary is aligned with NSW/ACT Catholic Systemic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2025 and includes wellbeing and staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to articulate a clear understanding of Catholic Education and actively supporting the Catholic ethos and culture.
• Plan and prepare contemporary and compliant teaching programs and assessments for nominated areas.
• Utilise assessment data to optimise outcomes and differentiate for diverse learning needs.
• Work collaboratively with school staff and the wider community to establish partnerships.
• Demonstrate an innovative and agile mindset supporting continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Promote the school as a place of learning and excellence consistent with evidence-based practices.
• Develop and deliver pedagogy with consideration of digital learning and wellbeing principles.
• Ensure alignment to the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
• Create effective assessment practices and quality teaching programs.
• Support students academically and pastorally within a Catholic educational context.
