Job summary

Canberra Grammar School invites Expressions of Interest for a Primary School Teacher commencing in 2027. You will teach across Early Years to Year 6, using the IB PYP framework and Australian Curriculum, focusing on literacy, numeracy and inquiry-based learning.

You will nurture each child’s confidence, foster inclusion, and be a pastoral presence, while engaging with families and contributing to co-curricular life within CGS’s vibrant community.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of teaching, learning and the primary curriculum, including explicit early literacy and numeracy.
• IB PYP experience or strong inquiry pedagogy understanding.
• Data-informed approach to improving each child’s learning.
• Commitment to pastoral care and wellbeing of students.
• Ability to build strong relationships with families and the wider school community.
• Excellent written and spoken English; strong interpersonal skills.
