Footscray West Primary School in Melbourne’s inner western suburbs is seeking a dedicated Music Teacher to deliver engaging lessons three days per week (0.6FTE). You will inspire students, support inclusive learning and contribute to a vibrant school music program.

The ideal candidate will create expressive learning experiences, foster creativity and collaboration, and participate in ongoing professional learning. A room-filled with a brand-new music space supports dynamic teaching.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to teach literacy and numeracy.
• Experience planning and implementing high impact teaching strategies and evaluating impact on learning growth.
• Experience monitoring and assessing student learning; using data to inform practice and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to collaborate with students, families and staff.
• Reflections on practice and engagement in professional learning to improve teaching quality.
• Ability to plan and teach a primary classroom music program.
