Job summary

RSPCA NSW is seeking an Inspector for Animal Welfare & Investigations with the ability to respond to cruelty and neglect reports, educate communities, and take enforcement action as required. The role covers Dubbo and Western NSW with weekend rosters and on-call duties.

You will work within a supportive team environment and contribute to protecting animal welfare through investigations and education.

Qualifications

• Current NSW Driver's Licence is required.
• First Aid & CPR certification required.
• Willingness to work on-call and roastered weekends.
• Animal handling experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and investigate cruelty/neglect reports (evidence, statements, case notes, reports).
• Work with owners to improve animal care through education and follow-up.
• Take enforcement action when required (including welfare directions, fines and court proceedings).
• Rescue, handle and transport animals safely and humanely.
• Support emergency response during floods, fires and other incidents.

About The Role

Are you ready to make a significant impact on animal welfare? As an RSPCA NSW Inspector, you'll be at the forefront of protecting animals from cruelty and neglect. Investigate welfare reports, enforce the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1979, and educate the community while being backed by a supportive team.

What You'll Do

• Respond to and investigate cruelty/neglect reports (evidence, statements, case notes, reports)
