Job summary

HCF is seeking a seasoned BI/Analytics professional for a 12-month max term role in Sydney. The role focuses on building and delivering insights via visualisations and queries to enable self-service data literacy and better decision making across the business.

You will engage with stakeholders, develop SME in designated areas, and deliver rapid answers to data questions using a mix of SQL and visualisation tools. Strong Tableau/SQL skills and data warehouse knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in a quantitative or numerate discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in BI, business analytics or data science.
• Proven ability to overlay commercial acumen to develop insights and recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills and experience working with business stakeholders.
• Experience with Tableau and SQL required.

Responsibilities

• Build insights across business areas.
• Develop subject matter expertise in the business area you work with.
• Consult with business users to answer data questions.
• Provide rapid answers to business questions using queries and visualisations.
• Support ad hoc data requests across business areas.
• Integrate website data with the warehouse to drive insights.
• Build customer segmentation analytics and campaign performance reporting.
• Design reporting data models that support self-serve reporting.
