Job summary

NHS Jobs is seeking a role to provide a high standard of catering and general housekeeping duties within a mental health inpatient environment. Duties will align with national standards of cleanliness, infection prevention & control and food safety, with collaboration across nursing and dietetics teams.

Responsibilities include serving meals to service users, maintaining ward cleanliness, managing stock, and recording data for special diets, while adhering to Trust policies and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide a full meal and snack service to the service users on the wards.
• Prepare and pack menu items for service users to the required standard, in line with HACCP and Health & Safety policies.
• Regenerate/prepare and serve meals and sundry items adherent to food distribution timescales.
• Wash all items, including tableware, following each meal service.
• Maintain unit catering department to high cleanliness standards in line with Food Safety, HACCP and Health & Safety policies.
