Job summary

Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) is seeking compassionate Assistants in Nursing to join the Lithgow team. In this permanent part-time role, you will provide direct patient care under supervision of a Registered Nurse, assisting with daily living activities while supporting a safe and dignified patient experience.

You will be based in the Inpatient Unit at Lithgow Hospital, gaining valuable clinical exposure across medical, surgical, and aged care services.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Health Services Assistance or currently enrolled in Second/Third year of Bachelor of Nursing.
• Demonstrated ability to provide safe, compassionate, respectful and person-centred care.
• Effective verbal and written communication with patients, families and the care team.
• Proven ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team and follow directions from registered nurses.
• Ability to organise, prioritise and complete delegated tasks while maintaining high patient care standards.
• Ability to identify changes in a patient's condition and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Understanding of continuous improvement in healthcare settings.
• Commitment to safe work practices for self and others.

Responsibilities
