Job summary

Nextpower is seeking a Senior Project Engineer - Innovation to lead government grant pursuits and manage funded programs for Australian market deployment. The role spans engineering, commercialisation, and project delivery, coordinating with product, engineering, sales, finance, and external partners.

Qualifications

• Experience drafting government grant submissions.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Strong technical writing and proposal development.
• Ability to translate technical and commercial concepts into funded projects.
• Experience with energy, infrastructure, renewables, or industrial tech.

Responsibilities

• Identify, monitor, and pursue Australian government grant opportunities, including ARENA and similar programs.
• Develop grant pursuit strategies for new technologies and integrated solutions.
• Manage funded projects from award through delivery, governance, and close-out.
• Translate product and technology concepts into structured, fundable projects for deployment.
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to shape strong project concepts and documentation.
