Job summary

Winslow Constructors in Eight Mile Plains, QLD, is seeking an Environment and Sustainability Advisor to join our award-winning team and help deliver major infrastructure projects with a focus on sustainable outcomes.

The successful candidate will work with site Supervisors and the Environment & Sustainability Manager to implement environmental programs, manage cultural heritage on site, and drive improved waste and water management across our projects.

Qualifications

• tertiary qualifications in Environmental Management, Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science.
• At least 3 years experience in a similar role delivering civil infrastructure projects
• Demonstrated ability in proactively building relationships with key stakeholders and team members
• Demonstrated experience in effectively working with multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities

• Supporting Site Supervisors, Environment & Sustainability Manager and Regional Managers in implementation of environment and sustainability through toolbox talks and internal messaging.
• Work with traditional owners and stakeholders on site to manage impacts on cultural values.
• Assist field employees and subcontractors with appropriate controls for waste and discharge water management.
• Identifying key environmental risks and developing appropriate controls and communication for inclusion in work planning activities.
• Assisting with the development and implementation of environmental programs, initiatives and innovations.
• Investigation of incidents and working with field employees and contracts to determine appropriate actions and mitigation.
• Creating and implement relevant environmental and cultural heritage management plans
