Job summary

Hinchinbrook Shire Council is seeking a Projects and Disaster Recovery Officer to provide administrative and technical support for infrastructure projects and DRFA funded works under the Manager Projects and Disaster Recovery.

The role requires experience in civil/disaster recovery projects, strong organisation, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Salary is stated and the council offers a comprehensive benefits package including leave, superannuation, and EAP.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting civil or disaster recovery projects.
• Strong ability to interpret guidelines and technical documents.
• Highly organised with clear communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and technical support for infrastructure projects and DRFA funded works.
• Assist the Project Manager with planning, scheduling, budgeting and risk management.
• Maintain DRFA documentation, cost records, and acquittal information for funding claims and audits.
• Coordinate contractors, consultants and internal stakeholders by preparing documentation and facilitating communication.
• Monitor expenditure and support progress and financial reporting.
