Job summary

The Onset is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to lead a major data centre build in Brisbane. This hands-on role covers compute, networking, storage, power, cooling, cabling and data centre facilities, working with internal engineering teams, vendors and contractors.

The successful candidate will have a track record delivering large-scale data centre or IT infrastructure projects, with strong vendor management and the ability to drive complex dependencies, risks and changes

Qualifications

• Significant data centre / IT infrastructure project delivery experience.
• Experience across network, storage, compute and facilities infrastructure.
• Strong third‑party vendor and contractor management.
• Understanding of rack & stack, cabling, power provisioning and cooling.
• Experience managing complex technical dependencies and infrastructure deployments.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive‑level communication.
• Experience within a hyperscaler, data centre operator or large infrastructure environment.
• Exposure to HPC, GPU or AI infrastructure would be a major advantage.

Brisbane | 6–12 Month Contract | Major AI Infrastructure Build

We’re looking for an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of a major data centre build in Brisbane. This is a hands‑on infrastructure delivery role — not software, applications or transformation. You’ll be managing a complex programme spanning compute, networking, storage, power, cooling, cabling and data centre facilities, working across internal engineering teams, vendors and third‑party contractors.

You’ll be joining a highly technical engineering environment delivering infrastructure designed to support the next generation of AI and sovereign cloud capability in Australia. This is an initial 6–12 month contract, with potential to extend as the broader infrastructure programme grows.
