Finance Manager role at DMC Recruitment in Sydney, NSW seeks a senior professional to steer the financial narrative around a $1bn+ infrastructure project. You will gather cost data, reconcile systems, and create evidence-based reporting for board and regulators.

This hands-on position requires deep project controls expertise, strong communication with delivery teams, finance, legal and regulators, and a proven ability to translate complex data into clear, persuasive stories.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in complex mid to large projects (construction, infrastructure, transport, or utilities).
• Deep project controls discipline: cost control, change management, risk analysis, regulatory reporting.
• CPA or CA qualification (or equivalent project controls credentials).
• Proven ability to synthesize complex data and turn it into clear, persuasive narratives.
• Comfort working across stakeholder groups: delivery teams, finance, legal, regulators.

Responsibilities

• Manage the financial and commercial narrative around a major capital project.
• Gather cost and change data from multiple sources and identify documentation gaps.
• Create evidence-based reporting that demonstrates prudence and efficiency.
• Build reporting frameworks, reconcile project cost systems against regulatory structures.
• Prepare board and shareholder materials and ensure every major decision is justified.
