Job summary

Talent is seeking a hands-on infrastructure specialist to maintain and optimise enterprise server and storage environments. You will work across Windows Server, Linux, virtualisation, and SAN/NAS, developing automation scripts to improve efficiency and reliability.

You will support backup, disaster recovery and infrastructure security, monitor performance, troubleshoot issues and implement improvements. A strong communicator who works well independently will excel in this role, with preference

Qualifications

• Proven experience in enterprise infrastructure, server/storage engineering or consulting.
• Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server, Linux, virtualisation and SAN/NAS technologies.
• Experience in scripting (PowerShell), automation and infrastructure-as-code.
• Understanding of Linux automation and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) will be highly regarded.
• Knowledge of backup, recovery, networking and infrastructure security.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

Job description

This role is ideal for a hands-on infrastructure professional with strong expertise in enterprise server and storage environments, virtualisation, Linux administration and automation. You will play a key role in maintaining, optimising and supporting critical IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in enterprise infrastructure, server/storage engineering or consulting.
• Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server, Linux, virtualisation and SAN/NAS technologies.
• Experience in scripting (Powershell), automation and infrastructure-as-code.

Highly Desirable

• Previous experience within the mining or resources sector.
• Exposure to Azure or AWS cloud environments.
• Experience with Dell EMC, NetApp, HPE or Pure Storage.
• Knowledge of Veeam or Commvault backup solutions.
• Familiarity with Git, monitoring tools and automation frameworks.
• Relevant IT certifications or qualifications.
