Job summary

Davidson is seeking a PAM Infrastructure Engineer for a large Queensland Government environment in Brisbane. The role hands‑on implements an enterprise PAM platform across Linux, AD, and Entra ID, with strong emphasis on PAM security, secret management and secure remote administration.

You will lead configuration, integration and testing across RHEL, Windows Server, networking, and monitoring teams, attending the Brisbane office at least three days per week.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience in large-scale enterprise tech environments.
• Advanced Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration and hardening.
• Strong Windows Server, Active Directory and Entra ID experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the implementation and integration of the PAM platform across Linux, Windows, and identity services.
• Build, configure, harden, patch and troubleshoot PAM services on RHEL.
• Coordinate integration with Entra ID, Active Directory, MFA and SCIM-based role mapping.
• Configure vaults and secrets-management workflows.
• Coordinate SQL Server HA, load balancers, DNS, firewalls, storage and monitoring dependencies.
• Perform security, failover, recovery, RDP/SSH tests and develop runbooks.

The Opportunity

Join a large Queensland Government environment as a PAM Infrastructure Engineer, taking a hands‑on role in the production implementation of an enterprise Privileged Access Management platform. This is a technically focused opportunity requiring advanced Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Windows Server, Active Directory and Entra ID expertise, combined with practical PAM, identity security or secure remote administration experience. The position is Brisbane-based with a requirement to attend the office at least three full business days per week.

About the Role

You will own the implementation and integration of the PAM application layer, working across Linux, Microsoft identity, networking, security, database and monitoring teams.

• Build, configure, harden, patch and troubleshoot PAM services on Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Implement and validate an enterprise PAM platform across production environments.
• Integrate PAM with Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, MFA and SCIM-based role mapping.
• Configure vault and secrets-management credential retrieval and injection workflows.
• Coordinate SQL Server HA, load balancers, DNS, firewalls, storage and monitoring dependencies.
• Perform security, failover, recovery, RDP, SSH and break-glass testing and develop runbooks.

About You

You will bring deep hands‑on infrastructure capability, with advanced Linux expertise being a key requirement rather than simply desirable.

• 7+ years' experience within large-scale enterprise technology environments.
• Advanced hands‑on Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration, hardening and troubleshooting.
• Strong Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID experience.
• Experience implementing or supporting PAM, bastion or secrets-management platforms.
