Job summary

Virtus Health is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join the Technology Operations team. You will design, implement and support enterprise infrastructure across Azure, VMware, storage and backup, while leading complex incident resolutions and projects.

The role blends operational support with strategic improvements and mentoring of junior engineers. You will manage hybrid cloud environments, engage with vendors and internal stakeholders, and contribute to security and resilience across

As we continue our technology transformation journey, we're seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our high-performing Technology Operations team. This is an opportunity to work across a diverse enterprise environment, influence key infrastructure decisions and contribute to projects that modernise and strengthen our national technology landscape.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Technology Operations, you'll be a senior technical specialist responsible for the design, support and continual improvement of Virtus Health's infrastructure environment.

You'll work across a broad range of technologies including Microsoft Azure, VMware, enterprise networking, storage, backup and disaster recovery solutions, while acting as an escalation point for complex technical issues and infrastructure projects.

This role offers a blend of operational support, project delivery and strategic infrastructure improvement.

What You'll Be Doing

Design, implement and support enterprise infrastructure solutions.

Manage Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud environments.

Support VMware virtualisation, server infrastructure, storage and backup platforms.

Lead the resolution of complex infrastructure incidents and technical challenges.

Deliver infrastructure upgrades, migrations and transformation initiatives.

About You

You'll be a hands-on Infrastructure Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems and taking ownership of outcomes.
