Job summary

IT Alliance is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer in Canberra to support a Federal Government client on site. The role emphasizes Linux-first Ubuntu ICT infrastructure design, configuration, and operation.

You will manage Windows services, automate with Bash and PowerShell, and work on data ingest pipelines using Apache NiFi, plus Cisco network gear including firewalls and switches, with secure connectivity and policy configuration.

• Proven design, configuration, and support of Linux-first Ubuntu ICT infrastructure.
• Experience configuring and maintaining Windows systems with automation scripting.
• Experience with data ingest pipelines and NiFi for reliable delivery and integrity.

One of our Federal Government clients is looking for Infrastructure Engineer in Canberra.

We are looking for the following Skills/Experience:

• Proven experience in the design, configuration, and support of Linux-first (Ubuntu) ICT infrastructure.
• Experience with configuring and maintaining windows systems and services. Strong scripting skills (Bash and PowerShell) for automation, diagnostics, and configuration management.
• Experience with data ingest pipelines (network and system throughput tuning, buffering, reliable delivery, integrity validation) using tools such as Apache NiFi.
• Networking experience with Cisco firewalls and switches, including policy configuration, network segmentation, and secure connectivity.
