Job summary

The Banktech Group is seeking an experienced Enterprise Infrastructure Architect to design and govern hybrid cloud and on‑prem architectures in Sydney. You will ensure secure, scalable infrastructure aligned with regulatory standards while guiding implementation and operations.

Your responsibilities include end-to-end architectures across Azure, VMware vSphere/NSX, and backup/DR, with emphasis on governance, security, and performance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in enterprise infrastructure with strong solution architecture and infra engineering.
• Strong expertise across Microsoft Azure, VMware vSphere, NSX, and vSAN.
• Experience developing HLDs, LLDs, architecture roadmaps and technical standards.
• Experience with PCI DSS and ISO 27001, with Zero Trust, PKI, encryption, and identity management.
• PowerShell scripting and Infrastructure as Code experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end solution architectures across infrastructure, cloud, networking, security, applications, and integration domains.
• Design and manage hybrid infrastructure environments across Microsoft Azure and on-premises platforms.
• Architect, implement, and manage VMware vSphere environments.
• Design and manage Azure IaaS.
• Design and maintain enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions, including RTO/RPO strategies and DR testing.
• Manage infrastructure monitoring and automation using VMware Monitoring, Zabbix, and PowerShell.
