Job summary

HCL Technologies is seeking an Infra Project Manager in Melbourne for a 6-month contract to lead large-scale IT infrastructure initiatives, including cloud migrations and data-center transformations. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and liaise with executives and vendors to ensure delivery excellence.

The role emphasizes governance, security, and collaboration across global teams, with a focus on timely, on-scope project execution in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Infra Project Manager

Requirements

• 8+ years of IT Infrastructure experience with at least 5 years managing large-scale infrastructure projects and technical teams.
• Strong project delivery background with proven experience delivering infrastructure projects on time, within budget, and according to agreed scope.
• Hands-on experience with Cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud migration and transformation projects.
• Expertise in infrastructure platforms, including servers, storage, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Strong networking knowledge covering LAN/WAN, wireless, firewalls, network security, and connectivity solutions.
• Experience managing infrastructure modernization initiatives, including data center migrations, cloud adoption, end-user computing, and Microsoft 365 deployments.
• Proven stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage business leaders, architects, security teams, vendors, and executive sponsors.
• Strong vendor and financial management experience, including SOW reviews, contract management, budget ownership, and SLA governance.
• Solid understanding of IT governance, security, and compliance frameworks such as ITIL, ISO 27001, NIST, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Relevant certifications preferred, including PMP/PRINCE2, ITIL, Azure/AWS certifications, and experience using tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, ServiceNow, and Azure DevOps.
