Job summary

Cooper Grace Ward is seeking an entry‑level IT support professional to join our Information Technology team on a 12‑month parental leave contract in Brisbane. You will provide level 1 and 2 support across the firm, with formal training and hands‑on learning from day one.

You will gain experience with public and private cloud platforms and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, and we will support your professional development toward careers in Software Engineering and Infrastructure based on your

Qualifications

  • At least one year’s experience in a help desk or desktop-support role, or two or more years in a customer service environment with a strong interest in IT.
  • Working knowledge of basic computer hardware, Microsoft Windows, and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in plain English to users at all levels.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on listening, problem-solving, and teamwork.
  • The ability to prioritise and execute tasks effectively under pressure.
  • A willingness to learn, adapt, and take initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Responding to and resolving service desk requests, ensuring a high standard of client service.
  • Supporting a range of hardware and software, including Microsoft Windows and Office applications.
  • Assisting with workstation moves, meeting room AV setups, and general IT troubleshooting.
  • Prioritising and managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced, professional environment.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to deliver seamless IT support across the firm.

Job description

Join our innovative Information Technology team on a 12-monthparental leave contract, where you will play a vital rolesupporting our people and clients. Working alongside a close-knitand dedicated team, you will provide level 1 and level 2 supportacross the firm, in an entry-level position that offers anexcellent foundation for building your skills and experience withina leading law firm.

The role

As part of our DevOps team, you will benefit from formal trainingand on-the-job learning from day one. You will gain hands-onexperience with the latest technologies, including public andprivate cloud platforms and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure.
