Job summary

The University of Western Australia is seeking a qualified Information Governance professional to support the implementation and ongoing development of governance frameworks across privacy, information sharing and lifecycle management. You will work with staff across the University to provide practical guidance and ensure compliance with regulatory obligations.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Information Governance, you will contribute to FOI responses, eDiscovery support, and Microsoft 365

Qualifications

• A degree in information management (or a related discipline) with relevant professional experience.
• Substantial experience in information governance, privacy, records or knowledge management.
• Working knowledge of information governance legislation and policy, including privacy and information access frameworks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex requirements clearly.
• Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Information Governance Framework, policies and standards.
• Provide practical, solutions‑focused advice on privacy, information sharing, records and lifecycle management.
• Support Privacy, Responsible Information Sharing and FOI functions, including disclosures and eDiscovery.
